Our client in Birmingham specialises in the design, build and manufacture of both precision press tools and components. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join their team.
The ideal candidate will provide an effective and efficient measurement service to the production and toolroom departments to enable the production schedule and quality specifications of products to be met.
The role: -
* To measure samples taken from production to verify conformance to specifications.
* To inspect initial process samples to approve ongoing production.
* To record measurements ensuring traceability to production.
* To report non-conformance of product to QC Manager, production staff and engineers.
* To assist the production team in bringing quality control tasks to the point of manufacture.
* To support the Company’s 5S and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
Candidates must have high volume production experience in a precision component business, excellent numerical skills & abilities, ability to read technical drawings, be computer literate, a team player with the ability to work under own initiative, flexible and willing to develop within the QC department, have excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
This role is a permanent position after an initial period working through the agency.
Hours of work: - 7.30am-4.30pm Monday-Thursday, 7.30am-1pm Friday, overtime available.
These hours of work could be subject to change depending on workloads.
Wage: £8.07 per hour
Our client is a specialist in Heavy Steel Fabrications & Profile Cutting, specialising in the production of welded steel fabrications for a variety of applications, which includes: Machine Tools, Mechanical & Mining Industries, Heavy Duty Trailer Manufacturing, Forklift Trucks, Storage Tanks and all general heavy steel fabrication together with the supply of profiled steel blanks.
They are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder, preferably with experience in a similar environment. The ideal candidate should be able to work from drawings, work under own initiative and be confident in their own ability.
This is a 'Temp to Perm' vacancy with the initial 13 weeks upwards working through the agency.

They offer the complete range of services required for the supply of pressed metal components: from prototyping, design and in-house tool production (or a specialist tool transfer service) through to high-quality manufacturing and logistics.
Due to increased workloads they currently have a vacancy for an experienced Press Operator to work within their busy factory near central Birmingham.
Must have had previous experience with presses, worked in a fast paced factory environment as well as have the ability to work under pressure and under your own initiative. Only apply if you have all of these qualities.
You will be required to work through the agency for an initial period.
Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:15pm, Friday 7:30am - 1pm

Our client is a large HGV garage based in Birmingham. They are currently seeking an experienced HGV mechanic to work in their depot for an immediate start. You must have experience in a similar role, must be hard working and flexible. HGV1 licence would be an advantage.
